This arrangement is based on the Love Scene from Tchaikovsky's Romeo & Juliet Overture. Romeo & Juliet is based on three main strands of the Shakespeare story. The first is the introduction representing the saintly Friar Lawrence. The second story line is the warring Capulets andMontagues, and when the action suddenly slows, the third stand comes alive with the opening bars of the love theme, passionate and yearning in character but always with an underlying current of anxiety.
