This is a charming collection of madrigals arranged effectively for brass quintet by Ian Lawrence.

Review: "Originally written for voices the madrigals sound very impressive on brass instruments. Suitable for the concert hall or for use as background music to social functions. Also for schools, studios and professionals." - Barton Cummings.

Review: "Music by Byrd, Greaves, Morley, Weelkes and Wilby are featured in this arrangement and all are known or at least familiar. There is the popular My Bonny Lass She Smileth, Though Amaryllis Dance, and so on, and all are very nicely arranged in an uncomplicated and straightforward way. The tuba part is a little high, making it more a piece for the E-flat or F tubas, and it is somewhat technical in nature as are all of the parts. This arrangement is a possibility for advanced college and university groups, but professional ensembles will be more comfortable with it." - Stephen Wick September 1994
